Amey Joshi

Hi! I'm a Research Assistant in the General Purpose Robotics and AI Lab (GRAIL) within NYU's CILVR Group, advised by Prof. Lerrel Pinto, and a long-term project collaborator with Irving Fang.

I'm pursuing a Master's degree in Robotics at NYU, focusing on multimodal representation learning and numerical optimal control. I'm currently engineering a new magnetic-field-based tactile sensing mechanism to expand dexterous manipulation.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, where I explored robot perception and autonomous UAV systems at the Symbiosis Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (SCAAI) with Prof. Rahee Walambe and Dr. Ketan Kotecha.

When I'm not in the lab, you'll probably find me playing or watching football.
